Stalin. M is a Scientist in the Materials Science Division at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore. He graduated with a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli in the year of 2003.   Subsequently, he obtained his M.Tech degree  from Anna University, Chennai in the year of 2007. At CSIR-NAL he is working for the past 9 years (2008-2017).  He made a significant contribution in the area of continuous carbon fiber reinforced SiC matrix composites synthesis by chemical vapour infiltration process and their characterization. In addition, he has also involved in synthesis of carbon nanotube through chemical vapour deposition method. Followed by this, he is working in the area of ceramic matrix composite (CMC) synthesis through reactive hot press and polymer impregnation pyrolysis (PIP) process. He is also involving evaluation of high temperature mechanical properties upto 1600 ºC.

Research Interests:

Ceramic matrix composite processing, high temperature mechanical behavior.
