Mr. S Satish Kumar is working as a Scientist at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore since 2008. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from PSG College of Technology, Anna University. He is presently pursuing his PhD in the field of Aerospace Engineering from The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Has overall 9+ years of research experience in the area of Aerospace Propulsion. He is involved in Experimental and CFD/CSD related activities of Axial Flow Compressors in Gas Turbine engines. His areas of interest are in Turbomachinery CFD, Secondary flows, Structural Dynamics (CSD) and Aeroelasticity. He has authored/ co-authored 3 peer-reviewed international journals and 9 National / International Conference papers. Also a reviewer for many reputed international journals / National and International Conferences. He is a recipient of the prestigious “IEI Young Engineers Award” in the field of Aerospace Engineering for the year 2016. He is currently involved in development of passive flow control devices such as self-recirculating type of casing treatment for alleviating stall in transonic compressors. Also, he is leading a team on development of a turbocharger based gas turbine engine.
