Dr. Ghosh’s research is concerned with development of carbon fibre from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursor with application to aerospace, automotive and other industrial application. Particular focus areas are processing of precursor fibre (through carbonization) to produce carbon fibre and characterization of PAN polymer, PAN precursor fiber and carbon fiber. He is involved in process control, process execution, and process monitoring for continuous production of carbon fiber in research and development scale.
A key element of his research, is the study of fibre reinforced polymer composite for different structural application. He was awarded Ph.D. degree in 2017 from IIT Kharagpur on the topic of polymer composite as brake friction material. He has published two international journal paper and four international conference paper.
