Polyacrylonitrile based Carbon fiber manufacturing Technology

Pilot  plant scale employing Polyacrylonitrile based Carbon fiber manufacturing Technology having integrated continuous processes at rates suitable for small scale production. There are three major process stages in this integrated process.

  1. Aqueous free radical slurry polymerisation (25kg polymer /hr) in

Continuous polymerisation reaction in CSTR and downstream process operations.

  1. Wet spinning of PAN precursor fiber (3k/6k/12k, 0.8-1.2 denier per filament) including post spinning process operations.

Heat treatment of PAN precursor to carbon fiber including stabilization, low & high temperature carbonization, surface treatment, sizing and winding.
