Workshop

The workshop, preceding the conference, mainly deals with the fundamentals of fracture, fracture mechanisms, failure analysis and prevention of failures and demonstration of facilities. Lectures will be delivered by eminent personalities on topics like Failure Analysis - Tools, Experimental Techniques in Failure Analysis, Non-Destructive Evaluation in Failure Analysis, Fracture Features and Causative Analysis, Service Failures – Role of Quality Control and Quality Assurance, Performance Reliability through Certification, Fatigue related Failures, Casting and Manufacturing Defect related Failures, Wear related Failures, Creep related Failures, Failures in Composites, Corrosion induced Failures,  Failure Analysis in Crime Investigation

About the Speakers

Dr A C Raghuram is a renowned failure analyst, formerly Deputy Head of Material Sciences Division, NAL, Bangalore. He is the co-author of a book on Failure Analysis, published by ASM International.

Dr K Muraleedharan is Head of Electron Microscopy Group, DMRL, Hyderabad. He is a  Scientist of repute in Electron microscopy and is an expert in the techniques used for failure analysis.

Dr A Venugopal Reddy is Regional Director of RCMA(Mat).  With over three decades of experience in failure analysis, he is the author of a book on Failure Analysis, published by CRC, USA.

Dr T Jayakumar is Head of Non-Destructive Evaluation Division of IGCAR, Kalpakkam.  He is co-author of a few books on NDT Techniques, and is popular as NDE expert in the country.

Dr S K Bhaumik is Head of Failure Analysis group at NAL Bangalore.

Dr G Sundararajan is Director of ARCI. He is a Scientist of International Repute and is an authority in wear damage mechanisms.

Dr P Sengupta is Director General, DGAQA. He has over three decades of experience in production, testing and damage assessment of aeroengines.

Dr K P C Gandhi is the Director, Andhra Pradesh Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Hyderabad. He is a renowned forensic expert in the country and enjoys employing scientific principles to solve crimes.

Dr P D Mangalagiri is the General Manager (Technical Centre) at General Motors, India. He is a versatile engineer well acquainted with production, application and damage assessment of a spectrum of composites.

Shri B S Vedaprakash is Group Director (Propulsion), CEMILAC, with over three decades of experience in qualification and defect investigation of aeroengines of different origin.

Dr K E Perumal is a leading expert in the Industrial and Marine corrosion in the country. He is a consultant of repute.
