Hostage Building

Overview:

The hostage building is a white, three story concrete structure (12m height) located approximately 1 km from the ingress/launch point.  The building is surrounded by smaller concrete and brick structures, trees and low shrubs.  The top of the hostage building contains antennas and guide wires.  There are multiple doors and windows on the ground floor.  Selected ground floor entrances have door and window combinations with distinct visual signatures.  Hostages will be randomly placed in one of the rooms with an entrance that has a distinct visual signature.    When a room contains hostages, a hostage will stand in the open window and play a pre-recorded call for help when the terrorist guards are not in sight.  The hostage’s appearance in an open window associated with an entrance having a distinct visual signature, confirms which door the commando’s should be directed to open.  The pre-recorded hostage call for help provides a distinct, acoustic signature for the same purpose.
