Registration (R)

1(R) Is an individual or a group allowed to be a part of more than one team?

Yes.

2(R) What is the difference between the outline of proposed design (due 1 Sep 07) and the detailed design (due 1 Oct 07)?

The outline of proposed design submitted during initial registration (1 Sep 07 deadline) is essentially an abstract that provides a rough outline of the team's intended solution.

The detailed design (1 Oct 07 deadline) is a more in-depth description of the design that addresses specific areas of interest and technical specifications needed for hosting the event and evaluating the proposal.  An iterative process of feedback from the judging panel will be used to refine the information contained in the detailed design proposal.  The following information should be included in the initial submission:

1. Number of Micro-Aerial and Unmanned Ground Vehicles in the system
2. Obstacle avoidance and deconfliction schemes
3. Degree of autonomy
4. Power saving techniques
5. Multi-system coordination
6. Flight termination techniques
7. Planned operating frequencies
8. Ability to conduct airborne chemical detection
