Develop Vision Aided Recovery and Landing for MAVs in different phases of flight for short runways

MAVS equipped with low cost digital cameras and depth estimation techniques generate high resolution 3 D maps (and combine it with DEMS for erosion assessment, accurate estimation of vegetation structure in agriculture, forestry, and land management applications)

Modelling and operational capabilities for successful operation of micro aerial vehicles from a knowledge based on environment models and local maps for specific targeted applications. Activities include for analysis [1]a digital terrain map to generate a global optimal route [2]perform scene interpretation to generate local routes (reactive navigation) [3]maintain a track of its position through scene matching.[4] Validation in aircraft autopilot model
