Technical Mission (T)

1(T) What frequencies for transmission of radio and video signals will be allowed during the demonstration?

In this regard, the organizers have approached the Indian Defense Ministry for allocation of frequency bands and those frequencies will be posted in this section when their permission is received.

2(T) Will a team be allowed more than one chance during the static demonstration when the design features of the entry will be evaluated by the judges and the aerial demonstration?

Each team will only be given one chance during both the static and the aerial demonstration; however the Judging Panel may allow an exemption from a rule if there are extenuating circumstances.  Their decision cannot be appealed.

3(T) How will differentiation in the score for successfully completing the mission be achieved among the teams?

Kindly read the evaluation criteria that have been posted on the web-site.

4(T) Does the detection of the mines need to be performed through aerial means?

It is the preferred way.  In any case, mines that are found by commandos without aid from any micro-aerial or unmanned ground vehicle will detract from the score awarded for completing the mission.

5(T) Will there be an element of chemical sensing?

Yes but the judging of chemical sensing capabilities through micro-aerial vehicles will be in a separate category.

6(T) Is storage of data and their processing onboard a micro-aerial vehicle a requirement?

No but the capability will merit extra points.

7(T) Will it be possible to purchase aviation fuel, typical used fuel for model airplanes or high purity diesel fuel in Agra?

Yes provided sufficient notice of the need is given.
